This topic starts with a thorough analysis of data & business processes. You will explore how data within organisations can be collected, managed, and analysed, and how to transform this data into valuable insights that support decision-making. Also, you will learn how to examine business processes in order to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and waste.
Using these insights, you will design and implement solutions that help organisations move forward—from optimising processes to developing applications that use data to enable smarter and more efficient ways of working. You will be introduced to techniques and methods from business analysis, data analysis, and application development.
Alongside the technical aspects, you will also be trained in working within projects and teams. You will learn how to collaborate, communicate, and deliver results in a professional setting. In this way, you build a strong foundation to effectively connect data and processes in practice.
Throughout the semester you will develop your skills in three interconnected tracks, known as the Three-Track Learning Journey. In the Industry Project, you collaborate with your team on a real-world challenge, applying and testing what you learn along the way. In the Explorations, you take part in short, hands-on experiments designed by your teachers, giving you the chance to practice specific methods and tools. In the Personal Challenge, you shift from guided learning to independent research, strengthening your analytical and reflective skills. Together, these three tracks provide a balanced learning experience that combines teamwork, experimentation, and personal growth.
There are no prerequisites for this semester so all are welcome. Students with natural sense curiosity as well as a willingness to interact with and help people will have the smoothest experience.
We recommend that after completing this semester you following up with the IT & Process Transformations’ Main semester or the AI, Machine Learning & Data’ Main semester where they will expand on your acquired skills and experience. That being said, the problem solving skill and techniques you have gained will be useful in most other topics.
