The Network and Cloud Architecture Innovation semester helps you deepen your knowledge of designing, managing, and improving IT infrastructures. You’ll work on real-world projects, using research-based methods to develop network and cloud solutions. The focus is on architecture, analytics, implementation, and management, preparing you for complex IT environments.

You’ll apply structured methodologies to create secure and efficient infrastructures while aligning with industry best practices. Frameworks like TOGAF and ArchiMate will help you structure and visualize your designs. You’ll also conduct applied research to ensure your solutions are relevant to industry needs.

Throughout the semester, you’ll receive continuous feedback from coaches and peers. Two coaches will regularly check in to support your progress and help you maximize your learning experience.

Activities

This semester is structured around agile, self-directed learning, with multiple iterations. You are responsible for planning your projects while receiving structured support through:

  • Group Project – Work with industry partners through Partners in Innovation on real network and cloud architecture challenges.
  • Individual Project – Choose your own research topic and develop a project that fits your professional interests and learning goals.

You’ll conduct research, ensuring your findings are valuable for both stakeholders and industry. You’ll also collaborate with classmates, industry professionals, and stakeholders to refine solutions and make an impact. Your progress will be documented in a structured portfolio, showcasing your skills and achievements.

Inflow & Outflow

Inflow
This semester builds on the foundation of the Network & Cloud Automation semester. To study succesfully, you should have completed a previous main semester and an internship related to Network, Cloud, or DevOps.

Outflow
This semester prepares you for the graduation semester.

By the end of the semester, you’ll be ready to take on complex IT challenges with confidence, whether in technical or strategic roles in modern IT environments.
