In this semester we will focus on developing professional skills together with relevant technical skills in Information Management and Process Management. We will work on basic knowledge of IT governance and IT architecture and expand on analysing processes and data analytical skills. The knowledge of intercultural differences in cooperation with others is expanded and an international experience is strongly encouraged in this semester.
We will use a strategy of research based learning. Students will be challenged to solve multiple real world problems with real world stakeholders and have to perform research in order to tackle these problems. The complex context of the problems is essential to learn how to solve real world problems based on industry best practices.
As a preparation for your graduation, much of the knowledge will be acquired by research based learning: together with other students, you acquire fundamental knowledge on several topics by answering research questions you formulated based on the context of your projects.
You must demonstrate that you translate general best practices into the context of the project you are working on. There must be a clearly documented trail of thought and sound decisions taken that support the quality of the solution that you are proposing. There are professional group projects where you will work with multiple students on improvements or advices for various stakeholders. Time management is one of the points of attention. The group projects are used to apply or deepen your knowledge about the topics in the learning outcomes. A big part of the challenge is to apply the gained knowledge in the context of the group projects.
Introduction and main Business IT & Data Analysis semesters and an internship in organisational processes are strongly recommended. After this semester you are well prepared for graduation in the organisational processes direction.
